Looking back - 2003 to current
It is hard to believe I started this thing in April of '03 muttering thoughts of insecurity and loneliness. It will 10 years come next April, I will be 30 years of age by then. So in a moment of nostalgia and a curiosity I took a look at my post archive and came up with a host of figures:
I have posted 1338 entries not including this one.
My median is 10 per month.
The most entries I have ever posted in a month is 36.
The least amount of entries I have ever posted in a month is (not withstanding zero): 2
My most productive years are:
2010: I had 305 entries
2009: I had 239 entries
2003: I had 167 entriesMy least productive years are:
2007: I had 24 entries
2006: I had 73 entries
2004: I had 80 entriesLongest time without posting anything was an entire year between Nov '06 and Nov '07. Ironically one of the hardest times in my life.
I have posted 67 entries so far this year.

It's always interesting to look back through your archives. I try to go back and get statistics, but I always get caught up reading my old posts and lose track of why I was in my archives to begin with. You've inspired me to try again. This time I'm going to stay focused!
interesting. now I kind of want to look back and see how many I have.
I think I know which year I have the least and it's because I was really happy.
so 30? are you going to do something big or are you one of those people who are dreading it?
Nice stats! How many were photo posts and how many were poetry vs prose?? (I am coming up on a milestone for posts... but I keep forgetting to look)

Did you painstakingly count or is there an easy button to do this? It is pretty neat !
@awoolham - No I entered this all into Excel based on the post calender on Xanga, I even made a chart...

@murisopsis - I was thinking of that when I did this...and to figure that out would take forever...I think though that 2009-2010 were almost entirely words and the more recent stuff has been 70% photos-30% writing at least that is how it feels...

Yeah I feel ya. my birthday just passed and I'm super not in the place I want to be or probably should be at my age.
also a whole excel spreadsheet? that's kind of intense. I'd probably make it to 2006 and then get tired and give up on it.
2010 was a good year. I posted a lot because I had no life. You inspired some of my posts. You wrote a lot of creative (and funny) stuff that year.
