The happiness manual says
Among many things
That for one to be happy
One must be in the 'present'Not in the past
(The Happiness manual says
Among many things...)
((That's not funny))Or in the future
(This is the last line)What a boring proposition
I am feeling sheepish
Like an actual sheep
Take me out to pastureWhat about all the ability of the world to come crashing down?
With a signature or a shot?
What about the loving I could be getting?
What about thunderstorms and light graces? No
concentrate
on this poem
keep writing in quatrainsIt IS the proper poetic form after all
No more ruminations or silly questions or poems
Type this until you get to the last line
This is the last line

Hung up on the form much? hehe! There is something to be said for the dementia wherein all living is in the past and nothing from the present makes an impression...
I need to find one of these happiness manuals
Your mom was the last line last night.
@Finity - bam, right to the kisser

@murisopsis - amen to that...
You are young at heart. Nice poem.
the happiness manual says a lot of things to a lot of people and it's not always the same thing.
Who cares about proper form or manuals for happiness. I rebel against all that
. peace always
I'm happy remembering yesterday and looking forward to this evening and tomorrow. The present is boring because I'm at work.
i like it. you're making me smile this evening.
